Alexandria can be called one of the main treasuries of Ancient history, because it is here that countless monuments from the times when Pharaonic and Greek dynasties ruled Egypt were collected and stored. I invite you to explore this unique place together!
To begin with, in the morning I will meet you at the hotel where you are staying, and then I will accompany you to Alexandria.
There we are waiting for the oldest catacombs, the antiquity and grandeur of which is amazing!
Speaking of later eras, we will also visit the ancient Roman Theatre and discover a new page in the history of Ancient Egypt. This amphitheatre is the only one in the whole country.
The next monument of antiquity that we will visit is Citadel of Qayed, which was an impregnable fortress, built in the 15th century on the Mediterranean coast. It is a very picturesque place and great for taking pictures.
Our last but not least attraction is the famous Library of Alexandria, which also stands on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. Once this place was the concentration of all the accumulated knowledge of the Ancient World: countless manuscripts, works of Aristotle, Homer, Herodotus, Plato and many other philosophers and scientists were kept here. In addition, many of the geniuses of that time even worked and taught in this library.
Finally, we will have lunch, after which we will drive back to Cairo, where our tour ends.
